The young man breathed, slowly, breathed evenly. He could feel the angel scratching around in the back of his head. It was uncomfortable, but not fearful. He waited patiently, blinking slowly.
"Did I do well?" He asked pensively.
The angel whispered behind the young man's ear. "You have done so well. I am so proud of you."
The angel slid his tongue along the long artery at the young man's throat. "You will be rewarded, " he murmured. "In time."
The young man shivered, blushed. His heart raced, his blood pumped. But the angel had already departed, as if he had never been.
